Congratulations to Alex Abernathy and Angelique Thomas. Alex received the WVSSAC Middle School Male Band Award for Academic Achievement and Angelique received the WVSSAC Middle School Female Band Award for Academic Achievement. WVSSAC only recognizes one male and one female student throughout the state, and both winners are from Shady Spring Middle School! Alex and Angelique will be recognized during the pregame ceremonies of the Class AAA Championship Football Game in Wheeling, WV, on Saturday, December 2nd.
